Born from a Love for the Jungle
It all started with a single jeep safari and a pair of curious eyes. A team of lifelong naturalists from Ramnagar founded Jim Corbett Online Safari with one clear mission — to offer responsible, immersive wildlife experiences that leave a lasting impression.

History of Jim Corbett National Park
From its colonial-era origins to becoming the cradle of India's tiger conservation, the park's journey is as storied as the jungles it protects.
Established as Hailey National Park
India's very first national park was established in 1936 in the foothills of the Himalayas, named Hailey National Park after Sir Malcolm Hailey, the then Governor of the United Provinces. It was created to protect the rapidly declining Bengal tiger and the rich biodiversity of the Ramganga basin.

Following Indian independence, the park was briefly renamed Ramganga National Park — after the Ramganga River that flows through its heart. This transitional name reflected the new nation's desire to honour indigenous geography over colonial figures.
Renamed Jim Corbett National Park
The park was finally and permanently renamed Jim Corbett National Park in honour of Edward James "Jim" Corbett — the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist who championed the cause of wildlife protection in India. Corbett's tireless advocacy was instrumental in the park's very creation.
